The first call came at 3.50pm, when two vehicles collided on the corner of Wallingford Court and the Murray Valley Hwy.
A Tongala man in his 20s and an male driver in his 50s and his female passenger were not injured, but both vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed.
The younger driver was fined for crossing double lines.
About 10 minutes later, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of McKinlay and Hume streets.
Senior Constable Michelle Neil said a man aged in his early 20s driving along Hume St failed to give way to a woman in her late 20s who was travelling east in McKinlay St.
"He's cleaned up her car and pushed it into a fence," she said.
"There were no injuries but both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. There was also extensive damage to the fence."
Emergency services were then called to a crash on the corner of the Northern Hwy and Mitiamo-Echuca Rd at 9.30pm.
Snr Constable Neil said a woman in her 70s collided with a semi-trailer, driven by a man in his 30s.
"She was pretty shaken up and released into the care of her family," she said.
"Her vehicle was extensively damaged and had to be towed.
"Inquiries are pending."
CFA was called as there were fears chemicals may be leaking from the truck.
