Pharmasave Rich River is taking part in Chemists’ Own’s annual Help Us Help Our Local Community national initiative to raise funds for Pink and Blue Early Learning.
“Early learning centres were an obvious choice in light of all the wonderful work they do in caring for the next generation,” a pharmacy spokesperson said.
Pink and Blue director Leanne Cocks said the money raised during the next three months would likely be used for an incursion or excursion for the children.
“Something that will benefit them all,” she said.
“We are so thankful to Rich River Pharmacy. The children have made thank you gifts for them.
“I think it's so important small communities support one another.”
Residents can contribute to fundraising efforts through in-store donations and purchases of the Chemists’ Own Children’s range.
Parents can also pick up a free children’s activity book for their kids from all participating pharmacies as part of the campaign.
