The money raised from the July show was received by the Friends of Moama-Echuca Botanic Gardens, an association that contributes to the maintenance and growth of the garden.
Echuca-Moama Doll Show co-ordinator Tenaya Cox said they donate to a different not-for-profit organisation every year and the Botanic Gardens were more than deserving.
“We thought the area that they work on in the gardens is really pretty,” she said.
“Their work gives people who wouldn’t normally come to an area like this a reason to.”
Friends of Moama-Echuca Botanic Gardens volunteer Cron Nichols said the money from the donation will go straight into the maintenance and continuation of the garden.
“We work on money that we’ve raised, council donations and these sorts of bonuses that come from people like Tenaya,” he said.
“These gestures help make Echuca-Moama what it is.”
