More than 260 people attended the night, making it Breathe Easy's biggest event to date.
Half the funds raised will go to the Royal Children's Hospital Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust, which aims to see CF sufferers one day live unaffected by the disorder.
A quarter will be given to Cystic Fibrosis Community Care, who support people living with CF and their families, as well as advocating for CF at state and federal levels.
And The Alfred Respiratory Department CF Equipment Fund will receive the final slice of funding.
The fund supports adult CF patients with vital physiotherapy equipment.
Organiser and CF patient Shari Butcher said she was blown away by the result.
“It is so lovely to be able to give these amazing organisations large amounts of funds to support the goals they are trying to achieve,” she said.
“The research trust gets absolutely no government funding and The Alfred Equipment Fund has never had a group fundraising for them.
“But they literally change lives daily by giving CF patients the chance to access new and improved physiotherapy equipment for airway clearance.”
While it was a bittersweet occasion as the last of the wildly popular cocktail parties, Shari said it was just the beginning of bigger and better things.
“It certainly isn't the last you will hear of us. It's more so about keeping it fresh and looking at new ways to bring CF and Breathe Easy to the forefront,” she said.
“It's always so humbling to me to see so many people attending the events our small committee brings together.
“I feel that we really have raised the profile of CF in the Echuca-Moama community.
“It's amazing how many people speak to me and have a connection to CF now from within our community that have now attended our events through word of mouth.”
Royal Children’s Hospital director of respiratory medicine Dr Phil Robinson spoke on the night, as did local CF patient Ben Nexhip.
“This year Ben raised $10,000 as his birthday wish instead of getting presents and added it to the Breathe Easy Cocktail Party final tally,” Shari said.
“I cannot thank Ben and his support network enough for this amazing result.”
Breathe Easy would also like to thank Radcliffes Echuca, Murray River Paddlesteamers, St Anne's Winery, Angus and Virginie, Rachael Good, Lisa O'Connell of Wallingford Flowers and the many silent auction and raffle sponsors.
“We have supporters both locally and from across Victoria and now Australia,” Shari said.
“We really are so lucky as we couldn't raise the money we do without their support. To all those who donated money or attended our cocktail parties, thank you.
“And finally, to the committee - it takes an army to bring these events together, and I would like to thank my mum Di, sister Teagan, Julie Ritchie, Carol Flinn, Laura Burt and my husband Cal, for all their support.”
