Now in its 37th year, the festival boasts several free and low-cost events, including Grandparents Story Time sessions hosted at Cohuna Library on October 10.
Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said the festival is a great opportunity for residents to get out and about and experience new things in their local community.
“The theme of this year’s Victorian Seniors Festival is ‘Get into It!’, and I encourage all seniors in the Gannawarra to do that throughout October,” Cr Learmonth said. Details of all events are listed in council’s Victorian Seniors Festival guide, which features other community events occurring throughout October including the popular Social Meals program.
Copies of the Victorian Seniors Festival guide are available from council’s customer service centres at Cohuna and Kerang, Gannawarra Library Service branches and online at www.gsc.vic.gov.au
