Echuca-Moama Pink Up Your Town Committee has been busy turning the twin towns pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month but its main fundraising event will be held on Friday.
A family fun day will be held at Echuca Workers Club from 4pm where children will be entertained by The Kazoos’ Professor Silly and Big Bear Brown.
A monster raffle with more than 50 prizes will follow at 6pm before a gala night, with Thinking Out Loud set to perform.
There will also be auctions, with some items donated by former Australian fast bowler Rodney Hogg who will also MC the event and draw the raffles.
The club is also selling pink McGrath Foundation wrist bands for $5.
Tickets are available at the club and all proceeds go towards placing breast care nurses wherever they're needed most.
Anne Vernon is heading the group of volunteers who aim to raise $20,000 for the McGrath Foundation.
In remission from breast cancer, Anne said Pink Up Your Town was a cause close to hear heart and praised all the support she had received so far.
Anne thanked the 10 businesses who have come on board as sponsors, and encouraged community members to show their support by coming along on Friday.
“It's going to be a great event and it's for such a wonderful cause,” she said.
“McGrath breast care nurses make such a wonderful difference and hopefully we raise enough money to help someone else on their journey and ease their burden a bit.”
