Detective Senior Constable Troy Wickham of Echuca Criminal Investigation Unit said a 2006 Holden sedan parked outside a Corin Court home was set alight at 4.45am.
“Upon the car being fully engulfed, it set off the dogs in the court and the neighbours and occupants have woken up to see the car on fire,” he said.
“They attempted to put the fire out and called the CFA.”
By the time Echuca CFA arrived, the fire was out.
“The car was partially damaged,” Det. Snr Constable Wickham said.
We are checking with neighbours for CCTV to see of there are further avenues we can follow up.”
