The the group, along with the friendly staff at Target Echuca, will be at it again, ready to spread the festive cheer for their annual Target Christmas Appeal.
By purchasing a $1 bauble from the Target store, you will be able to support UnitingCare and donate your money to buy toys for children around the area who need them.
Target Christmas Appeal co-ordinator and EM Projects member Julie Langdon Sands said the need to help those struggling in the community increases each year.
“It's becoming increasingly tough for families who could be facing issues such as unemployment, health, struggling businesses and farms and the hardship of the current climate all coinciding with ever increasing living costs,” she said.
But they can't help anyone on their own.
“We really do rely on the generosity of people in our community to dig deep, and Echuca Moama are always extraordinary in their gift giving in many different areas of the community and our Toy appeal always benefits from this generosity.”
Target Echuca store manager Greg Heynes said helping the cause is important to everyone in store.
“There's a lot of people in our area doing it tough and we want to do our part,” he said.
“By doing this, we're keeping all the donations right here. It's the community supporting the community and that's so important.”
With the help from students at the Echuca Specialist School and volunteers, presents will be collected from businesses around the area in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
In 2018, the appeal saw 74 parents seeking assistance which in turn saw 216 local children receive a little Christmas sparkle on Christmas morning, all thanks to the wonderful generosity of the community.
The team will be accepting gifts and contributions up until December 20.
Distribution days are yet to be announced.
