Detective Senior Constable Troy Wickham of Echuca criminal investigation unit said offenders attempted to break into a Sutton St home about 7am.
“A window was broken but no entry was gained,” he said.
“People were inside at the time.”
A male was then disturbed while breaking into a home in Eyre St about 10am before fleeing.
A short time later, a man broke into a house in Hovell St before being disturbed in the hallway.
“A young family was inside and heard a noise and got up to have a look and the man has run off,” Det. Snr Constable Wickham said.
Police believe the three incidents are related.
“We also believe it's related to a number of other incidents in the area over the past month,” Det. Snr Constable Wickham said.
“We're in the process of reviewing CCTV and speaking to witnesses and waiting on forensic evidence.”
