Successful applicants, such as local community groups, clubs and not-for-profit groups, will receive financial support to run special projects and community events.
Mayor Adrian Weston said that a total of up to $107,000 was available in this round to help groups deliver initiatives that encouraged local residents to get together, get active and get involved.
“Previous grants have helped groups deliver education, environmental and historical conservation programs, community events, recreational, cultural and artistic pursuits,” Cr Weston said.
“We encourage groups to use the online application process, which lets you save your progress, attach documents and submit for approval when you are ready.”
There will be two rounds run in 2020/21, with categories as follows:
● Community Support Grants
This category supports the delivery of programs, projects and activities that benefit residents of the shire with amounts available up to $4000 per grant.
● Event Grants
These grants aim to encourage and assist with community groups hosting local events. The maximum grants available per event are ‘community event’ $1000; ‘significant event’ $5000.

Applications close Friday, April 17 at 5pm.
Following assessment of applications, those recommended for approval will be considered at the June council meeting. Funds will be presented to successful groups in July.
