Wanting to remain anonymous so the emphasis is on their message, the organiser of the group said she had felt so overwhelmed by what was happening she had to do something.
“On Friday I couldn’t stop talking to people on social media, and it wasn’t just me feeling overwhelmed, I am pretty sure that’s how most of us are feeling,” she said.
“So I texted a friend and asked what she thought of writing positive messages in chalk and she loved it, so we quickly put together a Facebook group and got things going.
“We have reached as far as Numurkah and we hope to keep it going – and growing.
“We just don’t need anymore negativity and scaredness, we are all in this together now and that’s how we will get out of it.”
#THEKINDNESSCONTAGION will be out again tonight leaving more messages of inspiration, kindness and hope.
They have asked if you are reading these to please share it with as many people as you can.
“We only want nice messages, now more than ever is the time to be kind and caring,” she added.
