A MAN has been arrested over a series of thefts from rural properties in Campaspe Shire.

Campaspe Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested the 55-year-old man at his Woodvale property on Tuesday and charged him with 17 counts of theft and two counts of handle stolen goods.
It is alleged the man stole vintage gates and antique items from rural properties in Campaspe Shire as well as the Loddon and Bendigo regions from September 30, 2019, to April 5 this year.
Offences relate to thefts from Moama, Echuca, Elmore, Mount Camel, Tennyson and Hunter.
The man was bailed to appear at Echuca Magistrates Court on July 15.
