The Ogilvie Ave restaurant has raised almost $10,000 as part of a nation-wide fundraiser for teenagers in need.
Echuca franchise operator Shane Mitropoulos said he was proud of his team.
“Myself and our entire team are extremely passionate about the KFC Youth Foundation,"Mr Mitropoulos said.
“It’s our chance to make a difference beyond our group of seven KFCs and it is a cause we support wholeheartedly.
“We’ve have been blown away by the generosity of the local communities which we operate in, and we wanted to thank them for their contributions.”
Mr Mitropoulous said his staff had been “truly inspiring” over the COVID-19 crisis.
“They’ve rocked up to work every day with a smile on their face, raised much needed funds for the KFC Youth Foundation, all while adapting to strict hygiene and cleaning practices without losing the great taste our customers love,” he said.
The five charities who will receive donations include ReachOut, Whiteline, Streetwork, Youngcare and Reach.
