COVID-19 restrictions have forced homes and businesses to get creative when it comes to staying in touch, and networking has been the answer.
Switched On Electronics, Echuca-Moama’s Telstra partner and Jaycar stockist, have continued to keep the twin towns connected throughout the pandemic.
“We have continued to trade throughout the epidemic, providing a continuous service to keep our customers connected,” owner Michael Deola said.
“The lock-down was a busy period as people working from home and home-schooling saw demand for IT and communication products increase. Internet and mobile phone connections have been critical.”
Providing a large range of consumer electronics products, Switched On Electronics is always on the lookout for the next frontier.
With the introduction of 5G on the horizon, there is a host of new innovations for customers to keep an eye out for.
“The newest feature in the telecommunication industry is the roll-out of the 5G mobile network. As a Telstra Partner we are well positioned in this area,” Mr Deola said.
“It is strongly rumoured the new iPhone models are to be released later this year, and they will all be 5G enabled.
“Whilst 5G has not been rolled out in Echuca/Moama yet, we are looking forward to it being available soon.”
Another aspect of the ever-evolving world of technology is home automation.
With each development, consumers are inching closer to enabling orchestration of all home elements.
“Home automation is another growth area, with more products available that can be controlled from a portable device from anywhere in the world,” Mr Deola said.
“Security products and smart toys are other growth areas.
“Following the trend, smartphones and tablets continue to be an area of high demand.”
Located at 218 Hare St, Mr Deola and his team of friendly staff members have all the know-how to ensure customers walk out the door satisfied.
“We are locally owned, employ locals and have experienced, knowledgeable staff,” Mr Deola said.
``Customer service is our priority.”
