Echuca Moama Physiotherapy Pilates instructor Tailah Clifford is here to take you on a six-week pilates journey right from your own home.
Tailah will get you off the couch and moving with 10-minute beginner pilates videos to be released weekly on the Riverine Herald website.
“Pilates is strength and flexibility-based and a good, low-impact way of exercising, which makes it achievable for everyone,” she said.
“It improves strength and control particularly around your core muscles, which are really important for good posture.”
The first video is stretch-based and provides an easy introduction into pilates, while in later videos you can expect targeted routines for the core, legs and shoulders, and even one using different props from around your own home.
“It’s a great thing to get the body moving and it’s pretty easy to do a little 10-minute workout,” Tailah said.
“Once they’re all released, you can follow all the videos through for a full-hour workout.”
No experience is necessary for these videos, so grab your exercise mat or find a nice spot on the carpet and get ready to move your body.
