Perricoota Rd 60km/h zone in place from Wednesday

MOTORISTS will be slowing down on Perricoota Rd, Moama, from Wednesday, September 23, as a new speed zone is implemented.

A review was carried out by Transport NSW at the request of a resident concerned about road safety, due to increased traffic in the area.

The review recommended the 60km/h speed limit be extended to just past Twenty Four Lane, which is currently an 80km/h speed zone.

The recommendation was endorsed by Murray River Council in June’s council meeting.

The new limit will take effect from Wednesday and signs will be in place to advise motorists of the changed traffic conditions.

Road users are asked to keep an eye out for the changes and follow the directions of signs.
