Earlier this month, "Chucky" the high-tech robot was introduced in a bid to help improve safety at the supermarket.
Chucky will roam the store to identify and alert the Echuca team to any potential hazards on the shop floor.
Woolworths has been trialling safety robots in a small number of new stores since 2019.
On average, the robots are helping detect around 570 potential slip or trip hazards each month.
The number of slip and trip incidents reported in these trial stores is around 20 per cent lower than the national average.
Woolworths Echuca store manager Kylie Watkins said she was excited to welcome her newest team member.
“We care deeply about the safety of our customers and team, so we’re excited to have this cutting-edge technology at our store,” she said.
“The team has really embraced the initiative and even given the robot a name: Chucky.
“We expect there will be a bit of a novelty factor for our customers when they first see Chucky, but it’s designed to operate in busy environments and keep its distance from customers.
“We’ll be keen to hear the customer feedback over the coming weeks.
“Chucky will also check stock levels on shelves overnight when the store is closed, and occasionally throughout the day in high-demand areas.
“This will give our department managers an accurate read on stock levels so we can prioritise restocking activity and improve product availability for customers.”
