Cr Nikki Cohen will join mayor Cr Chris Bilkey in leading the council for the next 12 months.
As the only councillor nominated, Cr Cohen was elected unopposed to the position of deputy mayor, replacing Cr Alan Mathers, who had served in the position for the past year.
“It’s an absolute privilege and an honour to be voted in by your fellow councillors,” Cr Cohen said.
“It’s a privilege to serve my community, that’s what I’m there for.”
Cr Bilkey thanked Cr Mathers for his service over the past year.
The current councillors will continue in their positions until the rescheduled NSW local government elections are held in September 2021.
