Voters in the Waranga and Western wards won’t be required to vote via post and Mr Weston and Ms Pentreath will be declared elected to Campaspe Shire Council after results are declared on November 13.
Both have said they look forward to fresh blood on council, with 14 candidates up for election in the Echuca, Kyabram-Deakin and Rochester wards.
Mr Weston said he was looking forward to again representing the Waranga ward.
“We’re back to the beginning of a four-year journey again,” he said.
“There are some pretty good candidates and it should be a good term. I’m looking forward to working with the community once again.”
Ms Pentreath will again represent the Western ward, after initially being unsure if she would run.
“It’s very exciting and I hope we can form a collaborative council going forward that can get the best outcomes for the community and staff,” she said.
Ballot packs for voters will be mailed out from October 6 to 8 and voters will have until 6pm on October 23 to return their votes.
