Echuca police appeal for help after thefts

POLICE are investigating thefts in Echuca and Stanhope overnight Sunday, November 22.

Number plates were stolen from a car parked in Sutton St, Echuca, between 8pm Sunday and 8.45am on Monday.

The number plate registration is XJL311.

A toolbox was also stolen from the back of a ute parked in Railway Ave, Stanhope, between 10pm Sunday and 6am Monday.

The stolen tools were worth about $300.

Detective Senior Constable Stuart Poulton of Campaspe criminal investigation unit said inquiries were continuing.

“We're appealing to the public for help. If anyone knows anything or has seen the stolen items, I would urge them to come forward,” he said.
