Quantum Reading, Learning and Vision are presenting a free one-day expo for locals struggling with visual impairment at Echuca Library on Tuesday, June 14.

Those who have been affected by macular disease, glaucoma, stroke, blindness, or any condition which affects their vision, as well as those with reading and learning challenges, are all encouraged to attend.
Low vision consultant Stewart Andrews said people with low vision who attended the expo would have the chance to discuss their individual concerns and needs with experts who would provide advice in return.
“Low vision is a term used to describe a reduced quality of vision experienced by an individual, where spectacles and contact lenses are no longer enough,” Mr Andrews said.
“Although low vision is an everyday term, the reality is that every individual is unique and needs a tailored solution to help them retain their independence and function well in their everyday life.”
Family members, carers, healthcare professionals and their clients are all welcome to attend the expo.
The session will run from 1.30pm to 4pm at the Echuca Library on Tuesday, June 14.
