Tragic car accident at Torrumbarry on Tuesday afternoon

Sadly, the driver of the Triton, a 29-year-old Newtown woman, died at the scene.

Her passenger, a 24-year-old Altona Meadows woman, has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, a 29-year-old Patho woman, has been taken to hospital for treatment and is assisting police with their inquiries.

Ambulances, firefighters, search and rescue teams attended the scene alongside Victoria Police.

The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined and investigations continue.
