COLBINABBIN young gun Cooper Hamilton has been named in the All-Australian side following the completion of the under 16 national championships.
Hamilton was named on the interchange after strong performances for Victoria Country across three games where he played alongside his brother Hugh.
Upon their return from the carnival, Cooper and Hugh were thrust into senior action during the victory over Huntly on Saturday.
‘‘Both boys were able to display the form they showed at the carnival,’’ Hoppers coach Julian Bull said.
‘‘Cooper takes every piece of advice on board and is an absolute pleasure to work with. Out on the ground, he has terrific leadership skills which you don’t often see in young guys.
‘‘He has extremely clean skills and makes great decisions when the ball is in his hands. Neither Cooper or Hugh are overawed by the prospect of playing senior football.’’
