THE combined competition for the Monday Niners is working out well.
It hasn’t been practical to run another day on Wednesday for the ladies but by joining in with the Niners it is working well.
Monday’s stableford winner was Ray Peake on 22 points to just pip Leon Laffy who had 21 points.
Leon also claimed NTP with his second shot on the 7th.
Shirley McAsey had the straightest drive, (now on the men’s 9th for the summer), and Florrie Bickley had the truest putter with 12.
If you would like a relaxed nine-hole round come along at 9am for a 9.30am hit-off.
You will be made very welcome.
Don’t forget our Christmas break-up on December 5.

DRAWING for partners after four-ball games is finished often results in some interesting scores, especially if your own looks likely to be among the winners.
There was no such worry for Russell Anderson and Robert Vise whose 31 and 20 stableford points for a combined 51 over nine holes took out last Wednesday’s event from Spencer Broom (25) and Peter Anderson (24) on 49 points.
Kevin McCormack once again won nearest the pin on the 5th, while the ever-consistent Tim Quinlan was closest on the 8th.
Wednesday’s nine hole competition will take a long break over summer with the last organised event on Wednesday, December 11, followed by a barbecue lunch around noon, hit-off as usual at 9.30am.
Working bees to clean up several fallen trees and large limbs after last Thursday’s high winds will be required over the next few weeks.
