BALLENDELLA trots trainer Shayne Eeles was on top of the world last week with winners at both Shepparton meetings.
The Eeles-trained Allshookup won at the Monday meeting while another of his stable, Alta Mach, scored at the Friday meeting.
Allshookup looks a pacer that is going places.
The lightly raced three-year-old son of Rocknroll Dance atoned for his second placing on the track in his previous start when he outclassed a field of 46-51 class pacers.
A $1.10 favourite, Allshookup had one of the easiest wins of the meeting with over 22 metres to spare at the finishing post over runner-up Wheres Wood Wood with another nine metres to the third placegetter Rambunctious.
Ace reinsman Chris Alford sent Allshookup to a front-running role early from barrier five and was never challenged after that.
With only nine career starts, which have now yielded two wins, Allshookup is still a work in progress but is obviously a very talented pacer as his 1.56.5 mile rate for the 1690m trip on Monday indicated.
Eeles’ Friday winner Alta Mach has displayed a distinct liking to the Shepparton track since leaving South Australia.
The six-year-old Mach Three mare made it three wins on the track with his runaway win.
Alta Mach, which was originally in the Amanda Turnbull stables when she first landed in Australia from New Zealand.
She had six starts for three minor placings, including two wins at Junee, before making her away to South Australia where she had five starts for one placing.
But since joining the Eeles barn she has now won three races and has been placed twice from only eight starts
In her latest win, she survived an early burn for the lead and comfortably held off challengers from The Last Chance and Fletchas Roy in a front running role.
