Winemakers of Rutherglen, a group made up of 18 Rutherglen wineries, have urged Australians to show their support by booking a trip to the region for the annual food and wine festival.
With a stellar line-up of cellar door activities, special events, masterclasses and menus for the whole family to enjoy, Tastes of Rutherglen is the ultimate long weekend escape.
Guests will have the chance to discover perfect pairings of the region's standout wines, combined with fresh local produce.
On Friday, March 6 guests can enjoy wine, food and live music at Cofield Wines or Lake Moodemere Estate.
Saturday and Sunday will begin with yoga at Scion Wine and a winemaker experience at Valhalla Wines, followed by a visit to De Bortoli and a greatest hits performance from The Voices Supergroup at Buller Wines.
Tickets to Tastes of Rutherglen cost $20 per person and designated drivers will receive free entry, with coffee, tea or soft drink vouchers courtesy of TAC Towards Zero.
A TAC Winery Shuttle Bus service will be available for $27 a day, or $37 from nearby regional cities.
