Lou is four years old and we got her from a breeder called Border Lane Pups near Goulburn in NSW. Meg is two years old now.
What are their personalities like?
Meg is very loving, she'll love anyone, but you have to earn Lou's trust, she's not as playful.
She's very spoilt — she was our first child, so she thought Meg would end up leaving because she had six puppies, and then we had Daisy — so she's still a bit out of sorts.
Do they have any funny habits?
They're very in tune with when you say certain words, like if I said "chicken" or "Peggy".
Her sister is called Peggy and my parents have got her, so they go there every couple of weeks.
Do they like farm work?
They're not your typical border collies, they don't particularly do a lot of running.
They won't chase sheep, they hate all animals. Meg hates flies.
They're more like cats than dogs.
What's the worst thing they've done?
I've gone through about three or four pairs of Birkenstocks because Lou keeps eating them.
What's the best thing they've done?
They're pretty good with Daisy, they'll just sit beside her.
When Daisy was really little they would just lie beside her in front of the fire.
What would you do if anything happened to them?
They're our best friends, so we don't want to think about that.
They're more part of our family than anything else.
