ONE FM Country Music Festival a big birthday hit

Celebrating 30 years on the airwaves, ONE FM 98.5's Country Music Festival brought music enthusiasts from across the region to KidsTown on Sunday.

Families gathered with camping chairs and picnics under the large trees to hear some of their favourite acts.

Artists included Catherine Britt, Paul Costa, Jake Sinclair to name a few, with the day rounded out by multi-Golden Guitar winner Tania Kernaghan.

Families enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, with children entertained by a bucking bull, jumping castle and other activities.

ONE FM 98.5 station manager Jason Welsh said he was pleased with the success of the inaugural event.

Thankful for the support received by the community, Mr Welsh said the country music festival was a great way to celebrate the station's birthday.
