Presented by environmental awareness group Transition Tatura, the day-long festival includes guest speakers Asha Chapman from the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, Shepparton businesswoman Cheryl Hammer, and Castlemaine School Strike For Climate organiser Miro Wilson.
Films will also be shown featuring teenage climate change activist Greta Thunberg, and the origins of the Australian school strikes for action on climate change.
There will also be a short film competition featuring environmental films made by local students.
Transition Tatura facilitator Ross Mussolino said the day was aimed at showcasing the passion of young people who were committed to environmental advocacy.
"We encourage people to come along and see what other inspirational young people are doing to combat the challenges of climate change. It's a chance to re-affirm the values of young people who can sometimes feel a bit isolated in their views," he said.
Mr Mussolino thanked Greater Shepparton City Council for supporting Transition Tatura with a grant of $2000 earlier this year.Â
Events will take place on Saturday, August 31 from 10am to 2.30pm at Gallery Cafe, 115 Hogan St, Tatura.
Tickets are available online for $30 or for $35 at the door.
The day is free for school students and younger people.
