Midland Hwy re-opened following vehicle accident in Pine Lodge

Update, 2.40pm: 

The Midland Hwy near Boundary Rd has been reopened after a single vehicle accident occurred this morning.

The sole occupant of the car left the road before colliding with a tree about 9.30am.

The male received life threatening injuries and was air lifted to hospital.

Investigations are ongoing. 

Earlier, 12.40pm:

Emergency services are responding to a vehicle accident on the Midland Hwy near Boundary Rd.

Road closures are in place between Boundary Rd and Pine Lodge Rd, with detours in place via Benalla-Tocumwal Rd, Dookie-Devenish Rd, Dookie-Shepparton Rd and Shepparton Alternative Route.

This closure is under Victoria Police control. The road will reopen when investigations are complete and it’s safe to do so.

VicRoads is assisting emergency services with traffic management and detours in the area.
