The recent Tennis Victoria Country Week tournament was a success for multiple local Goulburn Valley players and sides as they etched their name into the event's long history.

Held at Wodonga, the week-long event wrapped up on February 14 as a strong flavour of local sides walked away with titles in their hand.
Two Shepparton outfits and a Cobram side clinched ultimate glory, while many more locals featured in finals action at the event which attracts up to 1500 players from across Victoria.
The Shepparton Sistas were too good for the Shepparton Bluebirds, defeating their fellow local compatriots 3-24 to 0-13 in the Special B1 women's grade grand final.
It was a sublime outing for Narelle Maxted, Yvonne Maxwell, Viv Jeffery and Belinda Downes as they lost one week for the entire week.
That loss came against their eventual grand finalists in round seven, as the Bluebirds prevailed 2-27 to 1-20.
● In the women's C1 division, the Cobram Mojito's trounced their grand final opponents the Rushy Gippers 3-24 to 0-13.
The Mojito's blitzed the rest of the C1 division as they finished the week undefeated.
Last week's dominance will be long remembered for the six Mojito's, Jackie Vogel, Helen Bruni, Kerrie Fisher, Tamara Bate, Louise Richardson and Sue Barnes.
● Meanwhile, it was a much harder week for the women's C5 division winners, the Shepparton Clare Bears.
Consisting of Claire Burns, Robyn Baxter, Alison Leyson, Cheryl Cottrell, Kerri Ford, Jan Sabri and Denise Boldiston, the Bears were made to earn their title.
A round four 2-15 to 2-15 draw against the Yarrawonga Schorcers was followed by a round five loss to grand final opponents Invy-Ads 2-26 to 2-23.
However, the eventual winners triumphed in the grand final in emphatic fashion, winning 3-24 to 0-7.
Lastly, two draws in the round robin format left Euroa Gold wedged in fourth spot in the men's B1 division.
