MATHOURA'S rebuild under Darcy Robinson will continue next season after the club announced he would remain in charge for 2020.
Vice-president Tim McCormick said the decision was an easy one for the club.
"The club wanted to get on the front foot as quickly as possible," he said.
"Darcy has done a lot of hard work to the group where they are this year. His determination to improve how the club is viewed has been outstanding.
"He has a fantastic playing group and his disposal and we are excited to see where he can lead them."
Despite leading the Timbercutters return to finals football, Robinson said he still had a lot to learn as a coach.
"There is always room for improvement - as a player or a coach," he said.
"It's time for us to build on all the hard work we've put in over the past couple of years and hopefully get the success we desire.
"Having been through all the tough times, I'm glad we can all now see a light at the end of the tunnel."
