After fighting their way through Tungamah in the opening week of the finals series, the Blues' pursuit for its first MFL flag remains alive.
Tongala coach Jordan Souter said not only was his side happy with their result, but the whole club was feeling good after a successful opening weekend of finals.
"There is a really good feeling around the place," he said.
"We had eight of our nine teams win across the weekend, so while we are disappointed we didn't get everyone through, there is a lot to be really happy about around our club.
"We played some really good football during the match, it was a great outcome for the boys to get the win and to continue our finals series."
But Souter is not one to let his side get ahead of themselves.
"We haven't spoken about what happens if we win, we aren't looking down the road," he said.
"We are a young group, so we want to be focusing on what is right in front of us. Our focus is on Mulwala and what we can do against them. We will be putting all our eggs into this basket and going all in on getting the result.
"We will deal with other matches as they come along, if we stay alive for the year we will deal with games as they come."
With top four side Mulwala as the opposition on Saturday, Souter said his side had a big contest to deal with.
"I got up and had a look at them on Saturday when they played Nathalia," he said.
"They are a fantastic side, they're a very contested side, very hard around the football, so we have a few areas we can work on that they do really well.
"It's a bigger ground in Cobram, there is a lot more open space to move into and to get the ball flowing. It gives us an opportunity to open up the game a bit."
While the conversations are not being had at Tongala, a victory in this week's contest sets up a clash with Numurkah in the preliminary final, with a chance to enter the big dance a week later.
