The race takes place on the Murray River between Deep Creek Marina, Moama and Torrumbarry Weir.
This year the event has attracted over 100 boats travelling from Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria for this popular ski race.
Racing starts at 9.30am with local boat The Mistress, who won last year's event, keen to make it back-to-back wins in the 60km trek to Torrumbarry and return.
The 100 plus boats will leave then, in one-minute intervals.
The 13 classes have competitors aged nine to 60 competing at a range of speed and engine classes.
The superclass teams, which can do one leg in around 11 minutes, this year are:
● TR – Last year's winner of the superclass at the Barrie Beehag and winner of the 2019 Southern 80. Skiers are Ray Ball and local Dylan Stevenson.
● Arkham Asylum, who won the event outright in 2017, and was second in the 2019 Southern 80. Skiers are Clancy Vaughan and Reece Simmonds.
● Superman, who has not had much success on the Murray River at Echuca-Moama, but wishes to turn that around. He will be towing his ever-reliable skiers Daniel Cotton and Daniel Graziano.
● Pigs Arsenal, from Mildura. They have had mixed success but brothers Sean and Jack Stevens would love to see a win on this part of the Murray River.
Once all the boats have reached Torrumbarry and have been accounted for, they are then sent back to Deep Creek Marina in the time order in which they finished.
The two times are then combined to determine the winners in the 13 classes.
Whilst the teams are on the water, there is lush green grass at Deep Creek to sit on picnic style with the family, waiting for the boats to return.
Official Barrie Beehag merchandise and race day programs will be available, along with food stalls including hot food, coffee and ice cream.
Entry to the Deep Creek Marina area is $5 with profits from the gate donated to Echuca Regional Health in memory of Barrie Beehag, a former life member and past president of the Moama Water Sports Club.
At the conclusion of racing, there will be music provided at the Deep Creek Marina Hotel by Three’s a Crowd.
MWSC President Steve Shipp said “The Beehag is a relaxed family ski race, highlighting the teams enjoying each others competitive spirit on the water and catching up for a chat on the bank afterwards.”
