On a weekend which saw heavy rain cancel most sporting events across the region, both sides braved the conditions in a match which left Tongala as the only remaining undefeated side in division one.
The team of David Cartwright, Billie Hatzie, Scott Donaldson and Steven usher gave the visitors the perfect start with a 33-10 win – although the next leg went to Rich River.
Barry, Brad and Geoffrey Tinning alongside Jonathon Riedell ensured Tongala walked away with the points courtesy of their 31-14 shot victory.
In other matches, Echuca scored a big win over Deniliquin and Mathoura comfortably accounted for Deni RSL.
However the atrocious weather saw the game between Rochester and Moama called off.
There were just two games completed in division two with Deniliquin’s games against Echuca and Tongala’s clash with Rich River washed out.
In the remaining games, Moama stormed to a massive 87-47 shot victory over Rochester while Mathoura won 81 shots to 54 against Lockington.
Echuca were big winners in division three as they put Deniliquin to the sword 95 shots to 41, as Mathoura defeated Deniliquin 73-57.
Elmore and Rich River played out a 68-all shot draw, as Rochester and Moama saw their game washed out.
In division four, the weather saw Ky Valley View’s game against Echuca called off as was Tongala’s match with Rich River.
Moama made the most of their game against Rochester going ahead as they stormed to a massive 112-45 shot win.
Elsewhere, Lockington edged out Mathoura 74 shots to 68.
The weather also saw two games called off in division five with Deni RSL, Elmore, Mathoura and Moama all failing to take to the greens.
Meanwhile, Deniliquin came out on top in a thrilling 43-42 victory over Echuca while Rich River defeated Tongala 49-35.
