ECHUCA Pirates under 14 girls division one team has brought home the treasure after a stunning performance at the Swan Hill Basketball Tournament last month.

After losing their opening game of the competition against the YM Lakers, Echuca soon found their rhythm winning four consecutive games to close out their pool matches.
Facing off Mildura Heat in the grand final was never going to be an easy task, with the Pirates winning their initial meeting by just two points.
But with the game still in the balance with just minutes remaining, the Pirates hit the accelerator to storm to a six-point win.
Makenna James capped off a dominant tournament with 12 points, to take her final tally to 78 points from six games.
The under 12 girls division two, under 16 girls division one and under 18 division two boys weren't as lucky as they went down in their respective grand finals.
Under 12 boys division one
The team recorded two wins throughout the tournament against Mildura Heat and Bendigo Braves, while drawing with Swan Hill.
That draw meant they missed out on a place in the grand final due to an inferior percentage.
Mitch Sutton top scored with 39 points.
Under 12 girls division two
The YM Lakers proved to be too good for the young Pirates in the grand final, after they progressed from the pool stage with two wins.
Jaz Milligan was a strong performer with 29 points across the competition.
Under 14 boys division one
It proved to be a difficult time for the Pirates as they won just a single game against Mildura Heat by three points.
Darby Jones was the top scorer with 25 points.
Under 14 boys division two
The Pirates ended their trip to northern Victoria with two wins against the Benalla Breakers and YM Lakers.
Jude Phyland top scored with 28 points.
Under 14 girls division two
The tournament saw mixed results for the Pirates as they won just a single game against Rochester, before being held to a 26-all draw by Deniliquin.
Ruby Morley finished the weekend with 41 points to lead the team.
Under 16 boys division one
A two-point victory over Mildura was the highlight of a difficult weekend for the Pirates.
Declan Hallett made his presence felt with a team high 55 points.
Under 16 boys division two
The Pirates managed just one win throughout the competition, a five-point triumph over Deniliquin.
Under 16 girls division one
Echuca earned a place in the grand final after strong performances in pool games which saw them finish with a record of three wins and one loss.
Unfortunately it proved to be a heartbreaking end as they went down by two points against Mildura in the grand final.
Raina Fimmel was the team's top scorer with 45 points across the weekend.
Under 18 boys division two
The oldest team to represent the Pirates were also strong performers in the pool stage, winning three of their four matches.
Seymour Blasters proved to be too strong in the grand final, winning by 17 points.
Anthony Huismann was the top scorer with 47 points.
