In Saturday's game against Rochester the final rink involving David Cartwright (skipper), Billie Hatzie, Scott Donaldson and David Townsend were forced to fight for their side's slender lead.
And they were able to deliver, playing out a 22-all draw with Rochester's team skippered by Richard Feuk.
The result saw Tongala come out on top 64 shots to 60, meaning they now sit two games clear on top of the ladder.
But club president Greg Lyon, who also plays in the division one team, said he and his teammates can't afford to look too far ahead.
“The competition is the most even it has been in years,” Lyon said.
“There is a magnificent feeling around the club right especially with our division four team doing so well at the same time.
“We know there is a long way to go but it would be great if we could go into the break undefeated.”
