The new ladder leaders handed Cooma its first loss of the season off the back of a century from coach Daniel Coombs.
His score of 103 runs from 204 balls helped the visitors reach 4/279 from their 80 overs, as Jayden Tucker and Joshua Thurston both posted half-centuries to breeze past Cooma's total of 98 from the previous week.
“It's always nice to score some runs but the main thing is that we come away with the win,” Coombs said.
“To have several guys making runs is really pleasing because it's been our goal to spread the load as well as we possibly can.
“Hopefully in the coming weeks a few other guys can get a big score and make us a much more dangerous side.”
Tongala have now won four games in succession following their opening round loss to Moama.
And Coombs believes his side are perfectly placed heading into their next two-day clash with Kyabram Fire Brigade starting on Saturday.
“It's going to be a tough game but we've got a lot of momentum behind us right now,” he said.
“There is no underestimating how tough the game will be but I'm confident we can get the job done.”
For Cooma, Liam Barrett was the pick of the bowlers with 2-71 from 22 overs.
●KYABRAM FIRE BRIGADE have sent a strong message to the rest of the competition following a strong display with the ball in their clash with Moama.
Just four batsmen managed to reach double figures for the visitors as Anthony McMahon fell agonisingly short of his second century of the season after he was dismissed on 94.
Jayden Rosin did plenty of damage with the ball for the home side, taking four wickets.
KFB ran out 131-run winners.
●ECHUCA ensured it returned to winning ways thanks largely to openers Fraser Buchanan (64) and Matt Hinks (58) who both scored half centuries against Bamawm-Lockington United.
The pair featured in a 121-run stand for the opening wicket, which put the home side well on their way to a four-wicket victory.
Joseph Hamilton was BLU's best bower taking 3-65.
●ECHUCA SOUTH'S opening innings score of 191 wasn't enough against Rochester as the reigning premiers stormed to a six-wicket victory.
Tim Bubb (83) and Colby Wade (60) were both devastating with the bat, while Ben Eade was South's best performer with the ball, taking two wickets.
