Evison's strong form continued on a trip to Carrieton in South Australia after he finished first in the rope and tie category once again.
The former all-around cowboy pro tour winner carried his form into the new year after he combined with Benjamin Smith on January 3 at Finley to take out the team roping competition.
He sits second in the rope and tie and steer wrestling standings and seventh in team roping header standings.
The season resumed with three events over the weekend at Wangaratta, Alexandra and the Carrick Bull Ride and Rodeo Spectacular in Tasmania.
