The group including Brad Mellington (swimmer), Sam Eddy (cyclist) and Archie Reid (runner) stormed to victory in the team's event in a stunning time of 56:28.
From the beginning, Team Bruburger found themselves on the front foot after Mellington swam the fastest leg of any competitor in 8:44.
And that was only for Eddy to go one better on the 20km bike leg in 30:03, almost two minutes faster than any other team.
Their performances left Archie in a strong position to storm home on the 5km run in 16:13, delivering the team a win in their first race together.
“I thought we worked well together because we all stuck to our strengths and we had confidence in each other to be able to perform strongly,” Reid said.
“The efforts of Brad and Sam in the water and the bike definitely made my job a lot easier and certainly took some pressure off my shoulders.
“I felt pretty good during the run even though it was quite hot but that’s what you have to expect every year.
“We're all really pleased with the result.”
With the Warren St Bridge re-opened in recent months, Eddy said he was able to make the most of the conditions on his leg of the race.
“The legs didn’t feel great if I’m honest, but the surface was pretty quick and I thought that certainly helped,” Eddy said.
“I thought I managed to get up to speed pretty well especially out of the corners and then I was able to maintain it when I hit the straights.”
