Greg Murdoch won by the length of the straight in Tuesday’s stableford competition.
The consistent John Bedford was runner up with John Lane in third.
Tony Ciavarella took out B grade with a host of others on 39 points.
A total of 89 golfers played the west course with 35 stableford points on countback winning a voucher.

Thursday, September 17
Peter Whitbourn soared to great heights to pip Dave Kelly for the A grade prize in Thursday’s par event.
Ross North took the B grade honours and Peter Boek confirmed his number one status at the club with a C grade win.
A total of 108 golfers played the west course with -1 on countback winning a voucher.

Saturday, September 19
Saturday saw the welcome return of the Victorian golfers with 180 golfers on the west course.
A score of 35 stableford points on countback won a voucher.
Jayden Dixon backed up his third placing on Thursday to take the A grade major prize from new board member Steve Jones.
It was a close B grade event with Graham Hodgson tipping out Gerry Allen for the major prize.
C grade saw the major fireworks with Tony Ciavarella turning back the clock with his second win in a week.
Tim Nielson and the improving youngster Sam Lowndes filled the placings.

Ladies
Monday, September 21
Victorian members made a very welcome return to the club this week and 34 competed in a nine hole stableford competition on the west course.
The run down went to 15 points.
Overall winners: 1st: Kathy Sinnett (20), 2nd: Debbie Morden (19 c/b), 3rd: Debbie Gniel (19).
Wednesday, September 23
Windy and showering conditions greeted 94 ladies on the west course for a par competition.
The run down went to –3 with Marilyn Robins taking out the day on +4.
A grade: 1st: Joy Kelly (+1), 2nd: Jenny Boek (-2 c/b), 3rd: Heather Gunstone (-2).
B grade: 1st: Marilyn Robins (+4), 2nd: Liz McKinlay (+3), 3rd: Janine Morgan (+1).
C grade: 1st: Georgina Roberts (+2 c/b), 2nd: Lorraine Brough (+2 c/b), 3rd: Jo Quayle (+2).
Bamawm
It was great to finally be able to run competition again.
Thanks to the support of visitors from Campaspe and Lockington.
The winner of the stableford competition was Liam Ringin with 41 points and Sam Frawley runner-up with 39 points.

Lockington
Competition golf has resumed at Lockington, with the ladies playing a stableford round on Thursday.
Pauline Humbert was in sparkling form with a score of 37 points to clearly win the Giddings Player of the Day voucher and A grade honours as well, with Annette Brereton runner-up.
Helen Hayes won B grade with Marg Eade finishing runner-up.
Helen capped off a good day by winning the two nearest the pins for B grade, while Annette Brereton won the two nearest the pins for A grade.
Congratulations to Annette Brereton who won the 2020 Handicap Matchplay title in a close contest against Jan Clymo, the match score 3 and 2.
Saturday’s stroke round saw Brett Stone in top form, his score of 76-5-71 was best on course and won him the Giddings Player of the Day voucher, the Monthly Medal and A grade honours, ahead of Kevin Humbert (82-9-73).
Mark Lyons won B grade with 92-20-72, on a countback from Matt Higgins (94-22-72), with Jeff Carnie (90-17-73) a close third.
C grade was won by Tom Scurrah (97-23-74) ahead of Jack Milligan (109-32-77).
Best scratch scores: A grade — Brett Stone 76; B grade — Kahl Oliver 89; C grade — Tom Scurrah 97.

The Echuca CIH eagles nest on the 3rd wasn’t won, but Captain Bricka’s yardstick prize on the 16th was won for the first time all season, with Kahl Oliver winning the $200 with a super shot.
Congratulations to Brett Stone on his victory in the 2020 Handicap Matchplay Championship, defeating the gallant Tony Brooke 2-up.
Brett began well to be 3-up after 4 before Tony won the 5th and 7th to close the gap back to 1-down.
Brett won the next three holes to be 4-up but again Tony fought back to win the 11th, 12th and 14th to cut the margin back to 1-down.
Brett steadied with a crucial par on the 15th to win that hole to go 2-up, followed up by an important half on the 16th when conceding 2 shots on that hole, and ultimately went on to win the match 2-up in a fitting championship contest.
