Tuesday, November 10
A persistent Moody and ever-present Burr could not quell the tenacious Barker in A grade.
Hank beat Rob on a countback in B grade whilst a delicious treat to witness was served up in C grade by Rice and Crack.
In all, 189 golfers played the west course with 34 points winning a voucher.
A grade: 1st: Stan Barker (42), 2nd: Darren Burr (38), 3rd: Trevor Moody (37).
B grade: 1st: Hank Moerenhout (40 c/b), 2nd: Rob Brereton (40), 3rd: Simon Allinson (38).
C grade: 1st: Kevin Crack (39 c/b), 2nd: Ken Rice (39), 3rd: David Kirkpatrick (38 c/b).
Thursday, November 12
David Cockroft has been in sublime touch lately with another round of 40 points keeping Devitt and Brown at bay in B grade.
A countback was needed to separate the consistent play of Pearson, Peat and Speight in A grade whereas Jasch just jostled his way to a win in C grade.
In all, 205 golfers played the west course with 32 points, on countback winning a voucher.
A grade: 1st: David Pearson (38 c/b), 2nd: Graham Peat (38 c/b), 3rd: Neville Speight (38 c/b).
B grade: 1st: David Cockroft (40), 2nd: John Devitt (39), 3rd: Daryl Brown (37).
C grade: 1st: Gordon Jasch (37), 2nd: Peter Lyon (36 c/b), 3rd: John Fairservice (36 c/b).
Eagle: 6th — Ron Meikle.
Saturday, November 14
A field of 232 participated on the west course in the second round of the club championships.
Nett 72 on a countback won a voucher and reflected the immaculate conditions that were presented.
The gross winners Docking, Langenbacher (not Mitchell), Warren and Ramsay all had superb days and are set for a big final round next week.
In the nett competitions, Nicholls reigned supreme in A grade, Kissell pipped Quattrocchi in B grade, Bob was the better Scott in C grade and Brian Guille had a good day in D grade.
Docking collected his usual stroke competition daily double of gross winner and eagle, whilst Jock has had his 3rd eagle on the par 4 15th in about a week.

Monday, November 16
A nine hole stableford competition was played on the west course with 39 entrants.
The run down went to 14 points.
A grade: 1st: Diane Watson (19), 2nd: Jenny Kirkpatrick (17), 3rd: Cheryl Ashworth (16).
B grade: 1st: Shirlie Jackson (20), 2nd: Kathy Sinnett (19), 3rd: Carol Schulz (17 c/b).
A ladies four-ball matchplay interclub challenge was also played on Monday with Rich River defeating Murray Downs and Deniliquin beating Barham.
Wednesday, November 18
A field of 106 ladies played in a stroke competition which incorporated the second round of three, of the club championships.
The run down went to 74 points and was held on the west course.
The overall winner was Gloria Martin with 65 points who also took out the monthly medal.
A grade: 1st: Cheryl Ashworth (69), 2nd: Georgina Riddington (70), 3rd: Dianne Paterson (71 c/b).
B grade: 1st: Diane Watson (70), 2nd: Judi Lawler (72 c/b), 3rd: Jan McGuinness (72 c/b).
C grade: 1st: Gloria Martin (65), 2nd: Deb Quittner (66), 3rd: Marg O’Brien (68).

Veterans
Terry Goninon took out the men’s A grade event with 39 points on Friday, November 13.
Ted Fordham was runner-up with 36 points on a countback from the captain Graeme Stevens.
Colin Short won B grade with 39 points on a countback from Colin Short, just ahead of Merv Smith on 38.
Dianne Stewart took out the ladies event with 37 points on a countback from Jan Annakis.
Barb Sands came in third with 36 points.
The next event will be on December 4.
Christmas dinner and presentations will be held on the evening of December 4 to finish off the RRGC Veterans’ first year.
Bookings are to be finalised by December 1.

Well it was great to finally be able to get together for our annual presentation night.
Thanks to captains Ben and Anita for organising the night and all of their hard work throughout the year.
Thanks also to president Shane Dyson, in what has been a very difficult year, he worked extremely hard to keep the club going and keep our members safe.
