Paul Allan, John Brascher and Matt Bell all had the best score of the day in the par event. Paul won A-grade and John beat Matt on a countback for the B-grade honours. Bruce Fleming continues to show his son Todd how to get it done and duly won C-grade. Mahir Ozdilek took out the super-pin.

Bruce Cumming won April’s monthly medal on a countback from Matt Lees. Big hitter Luke Young won the A-grade nett with Club Champion Steve Levy having the best scratch score of the day. Leo Langone is in good form and duly won the B-grade scratch and Ian Williams the C-grade scratch event. David Long almost holed out on sixteen to win the superpin.

Sunday, April 10:
Tyson McCoomb won the medley stableford round with 40 points, two points ahead of Brad Davey taking out second place on a countback to Xavier Clark with 38.
Steve Crawford was first in B-grade with 37 points and countbacks were needed to separate Merv Smith, second, and Zigi Belos third on 36 points.
Monday, April 11:
Nine holes: There were some great nine-hole scores recorded when 48, women in two grades played stableford on the east course and Louise Rolfe on 25 points and Jennifer French with 21 took out the wins in A and B-grades respectively.

Tuesday, April 12:
Ken Lambert won A-grade despite a double bogey up the last which denied him shooting his age. A Great round anyway Ken. Potsie Webber took the B-grade honours in front of Frank Hobbs and Daryl George and “Flash” Gordon Jasch won a three-way countback in C-grade. Mark Riley was very happy to win his first ever superpin.

Wednesday, April 13:
Ideal golfing weather conditions saw 95 women take to the east course for a stroke round on Wednesday, competing for the April monthly medal. However, many found the course challenging on the day with only one player scoring under the par of 74 and only two matching it.
Debbie Morden won the medal with 73 nett, also taking the win in A-grade, while Melva Howell won B-grade with 75 on a three-way countback and Jill Flanagan was the winner in C-grade with 74. Felicity Douglas won the super-pin on the newly renovated eighth hole.

Rich River Veterans
On Friday, April, 69 veteran golfers took a gamble on the weather forecast and ended up having a pleasant day of golf on the West course.
Playing off the red tees, the men posted some great scores. Neil Moresco won with 41 points on a countback from Gerard Flynn. John Barnes took out third spot with 38 points on a count back from Trevor Moody. Nearest-the-pins were won by Greg Cheong, Paul McGowan and Brian Suffolk.
It was a day of countback’s with Deb Bawden taking out the ladies event in a three-way count back on 36 points ahead of Rita Freestone and Lyn James. Chris Fleming, Marion Whately and Judy Holland won the Nearest-the-pins.
The next event at RRGC will be May 13, 9am assembly for 9.30 start. Names for the 2nd Griffith Rich River Challenge on May 19 at Griffith can be placed on the list in the foyer of the locker room.
