Tuesday, November 23:
It was a great turnout for Tuesday croquet, with 23 players rolling in. After three rounds of singles Sandra Retallick was the winner and Leon Koch was runner-up on a countback.
Association croquet update:
Numurkah was a player short in Wednesday’s pennant game, meaning Fiona Larcombe made her first pennant appearance. She played Dave Maher and did very well in only her third full game. Thanks to Lyn Norwood for helping Fiona and Dave.
It was pleasing to see Ian Walshe and Pam Pengelly playing their first full game. They did very well and we look forward to seeing them playing more games.
This Wednesday, Rich River will be playing pennant at Shepparton. Team: Ian Walshe, Russ Smyth, Marjorie Grant, John James.
Lyn Norwood and Gill Brinsmead will be at our courts on Wednesday at 9.30am to help all our new players. Both have been playing for many years and are good teachers.
This Saturday, Chris Grant will be at the courts at 9am. Chris is a coach who plays in the Victorian association state team, and is willing to help anyone who needs it.
He will be demonstrating how to do corner shots, so come along, ask questions and get him to help with those shots.
