Every little bit makes the day run so smoothly. Thanks again.
Thank you to Rennie for a great day of netball. The sun was shining, which made it all that much better.
A-grade: Blighty 32 lost to Rennie 41
Blighty started very strong and controlled and scores were close at quarter-time.
Unfortunately, the second quarter saw Rennie get ahead, with Blighty unable to make back the difference.
The second half was even with more accurate shooting and defence combining to increase pressure and cause multiple intercepts.
Awards: Felicity Jefferies, Christina Kingi and Abbey Colman.
B-grade: Blighty 30 lost to Rennie 44
Juniors Maddie Weir and Jasmyn McKenzie and uni girls Taylor Wilksinson and Gabby Clarke filled in superbly for the Redeyes. They all put in 100 per cent.
The attack end gelled well, pulling together some great play, but it did not result in conversions. A win is coming.
Awards: Tayla Kirby, Lillie Harford and Gabby Clarke.
C-grade: Blighty 9 lost to Rennie 56
The Redeyes kept fighting regardless of the score. Their short stature doesn't discourage their heart.
Awards: Stacey Doolan, Meg Caruso, Krystle Winter and Tiah Macdonald.
Under-17s: Blighty 7 lost to Rennie 68
Again this week, Blighty had a lot of outs, and again had to ask a lot from the under-15s.
The side tried its best, but Rennie’s under-17s were very impressive and dominated the whole game.
To Blighty’s credit, the side never gave up, but the Rennie girls were clear winners.
Awards: Gemma Macdonald and Maddie Weir.
Under-15s: Blighty 11 lost to Rennie 37
The under-15 Redeyes had a tough day against quality opposition Rennie.
Blighty’s strong drive in attack worked well to convert defence turnovers all game with incredible work ethic all down the court.
Awards: Dakota McKenzie, Nevaeh Webb, Ava Richards, Lucy Dudley.
Under-13s: Blighty 6 lost to Rennie 29
The Blighty under-13s played an awesome game.
Every week the side is building on its skills and getting more and more turnovers.
Kyah Watson played down both ends of the court and did a fantastic job going from one end to the other.
Catie Micheals was patient throughout the game with her passes, making sure they were hard and in front on the player.
Under-11s
The Redeyes played great, despite going up against such a tall team.
Thank you to the girls who filled in for Rennie.
Awards: Sophie Pearn, Lucy Pisasale, Shelby Huckin and Amelia Armytage.
