The first workshop was by special guest dance instructor Stuart Pointon from Melbourne. Stuart runs two very popular dances every week in Melbourne, his dances are a must when visiting Melbourne.
He also teaches dancing, introduced the Ashley Louise Waltz, a beautiful modern waltz dance, choreographed named after his daughter.
The second workshop was run by our own popular dance instructor and choreographer Anthony Pepers and the dance was the Margarita March named after Anthony’s mother. Anthony will continue to teach these dances at lessons on Wednesday nights.
A short break for tea and coffee between the workshops was a welcome break for the many travellers from Melbourne, Gosford, Shepparton, Albury, Benalla, Wangaratta, Wodonga, Yarrawonga, Wagga Wagga, Rutherglen, Howlong, Beechworth including our local dancers.
Dinner was enjoyed at local venues D’Amico’s, The Royal Hotel and the RSL good for our local businesses and tourism.
The Saturday night dance started at 7.30 with great music supplied by special guest Stuart Pointon and a great night of dancing.
Raffles, Monte-Carlo, and door prizes all being donated by local dancers. Our valued life member Shirley did a great job on welcoming all visitors and selling tickets.
A light supper, tea and coffee was available to replenish our energy to dance till 11.00pm. Both workshop dances were danced during the night including many favourites, the Jab Samba, Santorini Waltz choreographed by our local choreographers Andrea and John Barwick who also danced the night away.
