Tatura Library temporary closure and redevelopment

By James Bennett

A pop-up library will replace the Tatura Library for six months, as a $2 million redevelopment gets under way.

Greater Shepparton City Council unveils the pop-up on Tuesday, and said it would remain open until the end of June.

No library services will be available in Tatura until the pop-up opens.

The pop-up library will be located directly opposite the Post Office on Hogan St.

“While we are aiming to minimise any disruption to library services with the pop-up alternative, the closure of the library is imperative to enable the works to be completed without compromising the safety of library users, Tatura Children’s Centre and Tatura Community House,” Greater Shepparton City Council community director Kaye Thomson said.

“Tatura Children’s Centre and the Tatura Community House will remain open during the works, with access from Kerferd St.”
