On a warm day the Stroke, Monthly Medal event was played.
Drummond Golf sponsored the day with Newton’s Parcel Service sponsoring the Monthly Medal shirt.
Joan Hill played an excellent round to win the A-grade event and the Monthly Medal with 69 net.
Runner-up was Liz Mulcahy with 72 net.
B-grade winner was Mandy McGrath with 71 net.
Mandy was overjoyed as she broke 100 strokes for the first time since she started playing golf.
Runner-up was Barb Nation with 75 net.
Scratch winner was Jan Coe with 89 strokes.
Nearest-to-the-pins: Third Blossom’s with Love and ninth Café Alofa went to sharp shooter Sheryl Curran; sixth Tatura Hot Bread, Lyn Flett; 14th Lindsay’s Jewels and Gifts from Murchison, Robyn Downs.
The second round of the Summer 4BBB Knockout is to be played on or before the January 31.
Coming event: Wednesday, January 29 a three-person Ambrose event will be played, with captain Bev requesting that players organise their team with a high, medium and low marker if possible.
Block entry of $13 is payable from now, which includes the Hill Top Brooch and Silver Spoon.Veterans Event: The first qualifying round is on February 12.
