The YMCC batted first on a batsman friendly wicket with Matt McCabe the captain for the YMCC and Matt Casey captain of the YFNC.

The YMCC promoted two of their junior players for the clash and Jobe Fraser made 17 with three fours; while Caleb Mitchell compiled 8 not out in a total of 6 for 109 off 10 overs.

In reply the YFNC opened with Ned Mullins and Darcy Norman (both members of the YMCC on Saturdays) and Mullins slayed the YMCC attack compiling 63 from 18 scoring shots including six fours and five sixes.

Brayden Coburn was the only other players to reach double figure posting 21 from 7 scoring shots with three fours and one six.

Brodie Rudd and Beau Seymour saw the YFNC score the winning runs off the final ball of their 10 over innings.

It is the first time the footballers have won the annual fixture and it was great to see the cricketers and footballers come together with a number of players on both teams playing cricket and football within the township.
