Change of Current Restrictions
Good news for the YMGCR bowls members.
As from June 24, 2-4-2 Open Bowls will return to the club.
A maximum of 40 players, 20 per green, will be allowed to participate on a first in best dressed basis. The entry list will be on the notice board near the bowls office and members will be required to complete written registration before commencement of play.
For other days the club will continue with existing arrangements until the end of June, when it is expected members will be able to return to normal use of the greens, however the existing sanitising and distancing rules will remain in place for an indefinite period.
To simplify the hand over to the new committee on June 28, Men’s Match Committee Chairperson Danny McNeill will take over managing the use of the greens working closely with Green Keeper Warrick Henderson.

The Yarrawonga Bowls Club were all deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Bob Jeffcott, one of the clubs life members and a highly valued member of the club. Bob was the current green keeper and had been for many years.
He held so many positions over the years, from President, Match Committee Chairperson, Over 60’s Representative, Press Secretary and many more.
Bob was always happy to put his hand up to help in any way he could and spent many hours working at the club.
He was well liked and will be sadly missed by all at Yarrawonga Bowls Club and the extended bowling community.
Our condolences go out to his family. RIP Bob.
The club have been having the usual Monday, Wednesday and Saturday bowls for full members.
These games are to help members get a bit of practice and socialise during these difficult times. There is no charge and no prizes paid, strict COVID-19 rules apply, please abide by them.
The sheet for names is outside the bowls office.
The COVID-19 restrictions were to be eased again on Monday June 22, this has now changed.
The club were to have the AGM on Sunday July 5, now this will not be possible.
The club are sorry for the constant changes but it is out of our hands. All we can do is adjust things as we go keeping in line with the COVID-19 regulations.
Membership fees are due once again; if these could be paid by the end of July it would be appreciated.
You can put these in the slot on bowls days or posted to PO Box 448 Yarrawonga.
To all, take care and stay safe.
